ProdOps HQ ("we", "us", "our") is a developer productivity platform that helps engineering teams track performance metrics and health scores. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service, including our integrations with third-party platforms.
2. Information We Collect
When you connect ProdOps HQ to third-party services, we collect:
- Account information: Name, email address, and user identifiers from connected platforms.
- Workspace metadata: Organization and project names, team structures, and membership information.
- Activity data: Issue and ticket metadata (keys, statuses, assignees), commit counts, pull request and code review activity, and related timestamps used to calculate productivity metrics.
- Code content: We briefly access source code and file contents from connected repositories to generate fingerprints and classify development activity. Code content is processed transiently and is not permanently stored.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Generate team and individual health scores and productivity metrics.
- Display dashboards, trends, and leaderboards within the ProdOps HQ application.
- Authenticate your sessions and manage workspace membership.
- Improve and maintain the reliability of our service.
- Classify development activity using automated analysis, including AI-based techniques, to improve the accuracy of productivity metrics. Code content is processed transiently for classification and discarded; source code is not permanently stored by our processing providers.
- Generate anonymized, aggregated industry benchmarks and reports that cannot be used to identify any individual, team, or organization.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit via TLS and tokens are encrypted at rest. We apply the principle of least privilege to all data access and regularly review our security practices.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect a third-party integration, we revoke the connection credentials but previously collected activity data remains in your workspace and continues to inform your metrics. If you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:
- With your workspace members: Aggregated metrics and team dashboards are visible to members of your ProdOps HQ workspace.
- Service providers: We use trusted infrastructure and processing providers (e.g., cloud hosting, error monitoring, automated classification) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements. See our Sub-Processors page for the full list.
- Anonymized aggregate data: We may publish or share anonymized, aggregated statistics derived from usage patterns across our platform. This data is stripped of all identifying information and cannot be traced back to any individual user, team, or organization.
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Third-Party Integrations
ProdOps HQ integrates with services via their official APIs. When you authorize a connection, the respective platform's own privacy policy also applies to data exchanged through that integration. You can revoke access at any time from your connected platform's settings.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Disconnect any third-party integration at any time.
- Delete your ProdOps HQ account, which triggers removal of all associated data.
- Request restriction of processing of your personal data while a concern is resolved.
- Request your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Object to processing of your personal data.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the application or by email. Continued use of ProdOps HQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
